15 Years of The Fast and the Furious
June 22, 2001. A date which many of us still remember. A movie which had an enormous impact on the automotive scene, like it or not. The characters, the cars, the crazy plots, the franchise had it all. While we have lost arguably the biggest member of the fast family, the late Paul Walker, there is no doubt that his spirit lives on in the movies he made, the culture he helped build and he himself was a huge part of, and the new movies still to come made by his family, friends, and fans.
Many theaters across the country will be playing the first film for a special, one night only, 15th anniversary screening. Local viewing information can be found at www.fandango.com or other similar sites. Car clubs have also organized meets, cruises, and collective screenings for this evenings presentation such as the one by Cars & Caffeine "The Fast & The Furious Anniversary Meet". We will be viewing the film ourselves this evening, for memories, for nostalgia, and for Paul, and we hope you will too.
